A Website That Keeps Up With Your Business

The Strategic Content & Website System: structured monthly website work, transparent tracking, and quarterly strategy check-ins to keep your site aligned with where your business is right now.

For service-based business owners who already have a live website and want it to stay aligned, visible, and current without scheduling a whole project every time something changes.

Your website was in good shape when you launched it. You put real thought into it. Maybe you even hired someone to build it.

But that was a while ago. And your business kept moving.

  • Your services page still lists an offer you retired months ago.
  • Your pricing on the site doesn’t match the pricing in your proposals.
  • There’s a blog post drafted in Google Docs that never got published because publishing means formatting, images, meta descriptions, and internal links, and that’s a whole afternoon you don’t have.

Maybe you handed the website updates off to someone on your team, and life got in the way. The tasks are sitting there. You’re trying not to push, but nothing is moving.

You’re not ignoring it. You’re running a business. The website never quite makes it to the top of the list before something more urgent shows up.

And none of it feels urgent enough to stop everything for. But it compounds. A few months of small postponed updates turn into a site that no longer shows people how good you actually are at what you do.

What’s Been Missing Is a System

A site where updates go out on a regular schedule. Where your pages say what your business actually does right now. Where new content gets published instead of sitting in a draft folder. Where nothing piles up long enough to become a four-figure fix.

That’s what a structured website management system looks like in practice.

How the Strategic Content & Website System Works

You tell me what changed. I handle it on the site. Every request goes through a client portal, every minute is tracked, and every quarter we check the numbers together and pick what matters next.

Here’s what that looks like.

1. Book a Free Website Alignment Call

We’ll spend 20 minutes getting clear on where your website stands and where your business is right now. If this system is a good fit, you’ll get enrollment details. If something else makes more sense first, I’ll share more about that, too.

2. Enroll and Get Set Up

Once you’re enrolled, you’ll receive your client portal access and onboarding details. We’ll confirm your analytics setup and legal pages before execution begins. Both are required, and I’ll point you toward my recommended solutions if either needs attention.

3. Begin Monthly Site Work

Your first billing cycle starts on the 1st of the month following enrollment. From there, you submit requests through your client portal and I handle the work on the site. Most updates are complete within 3 business days.

4. Review Quarterly Growth & Alignment

Every quarter, we review performance patterns and identify what your site needs most going into the next quarter. A focused 20-minute check-in to look at real numbers and pick priorities, included in the base plan.

What’s Included

Strategic Content & Website System | $97/month

Three-month minimum, then month-to-month with 10 days’ notice to cancel

  • Client portal for every request: submit updates, review completed work, and access invoices and agreements in one place
  • Up to 45 minutes of content-focused work each month: blog post publishing, page copy refinements, image swaps, light layout adjustments, on-page SEO (headers, meta descriptions, internal links, alt text), and basic publishing across your platforms
  • Transparent time tracking: you see exactly what was done and how the time was used
  • Quarterly Growth Alignment Review: a 20-minute video call every three months to review your analytics, assess what’s working, and pick the next quarter’s priorities

Monthly time does not roll over. Additional work beyond the included 45 minutes is available at the active client hourly rate, billed in 15-minute increments.

Founding clients lock in their current rate for 24 months from enrollment.

What’s Not Included

The system is built for ongoing content and alignment work. These fall outside the monthly scope and are quoted separately when they come up:

  • Full page redesigns or structural overhauls
  • New feature development or custom functionality
  • Content writing from scratch (I publish and refine your content; done-for-you blog writing is available as an add-on)
  • Social media strategy, community management, or engagement
  • Emergency troubleshooting on WordPress sites with Editor-only access

When something bigger surfaces, it becomes a separate conversation at your quarterly review or through a Website Rejuvenation Day or Website Boost. Clear scope is what makes the monthly system work.

  • Invaluable to helping me achieve the goals of my business

“Elizabeth has been an inspiration and a real asset to my business, and helped me in many different ways, across a range of different areas. Liz helped me with my website, social media, podcast editing, materials development, and much more.

The quality of her work, the attention to detail, and the ability to complete projects quickly and effectively were invaluable to helping me achieve the goals of my business. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend Liz for any web design, editing, or digital services your business needs.”

EXPAND YOUR SYSTEM

The base system handles steady alignment and momentum. These add-ons are available at any point in the relationship, not only at enrollment.

Done-for-You Blog Content

$200 per post, per month

For business owners who want consistent visibility through their blog without writing the posts themselves. Each monthly post includes:

  • Topic and keyword research aligned to your services and goals
  • A professionally written and edited blog post
  • Strategic formatting and on-page SEO (headers, meta descriptions, internal links, alt text)
  • Custom featured image and supporting visuals
  • Publishing to your website
  • One static promotional post for one platform of your choice (Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, Instagram, or Facebook)

Blog work stays separate from your 45 monthly minutes. You can start with one post per month and add more as your content strategy grows.

WordPress Admin Support

$30 per month

Full technical oversight for WordPress clients who want hosting, maintenance, and security handled alongside their content work. Includes:

  • Transition to premium managed WordPress hosting (you cancel your current hosting once the move is complete)
  • Routine maintenance and core updates
  • Backups and security monitoring
  • Access to agency-level premium plugins, builders, and performance tools (saves most clients hundreds of dollars annually in plugin costs alone)

Advanced troubleshooting or repairs beyond routine maintenance are scoped and billed separately.

IS THIS THE RIGHT FIT?

This works well if…

  • You already have a live website on Showit, Squarespace, Systeme, Wix, or WordPress
  • Your business has evolved since the site was built and the website hasn’t kept up
  • You have updates, content, or changes that keep getting pushed to “next month”
  • You want someone who already knows your site handling the work, without re-explaining your business every time
  • You’d rather have a standing system than schedule a project every time something needs to change

This probably isn’t the right fit if…

  • You don’t have a live website yet. Website in a Week is built for that.
  • Your site needs a full refresh before ongoing work makes sense. A Website Wellness Review will tell you exactly where things stand.
  • You need a one-time fix for something specific. Website Boosts handle single implementations like legal pages, booking calendars, and lead magnet setups.
  • Your website rarely changes and you’re not planning to grow your online presence.

Who’s Handling Your Website

I’m Liz, a web designer and strategist with a background in computer science and 15 years in education. I work on Showit, Squarespace, Systeme, Wix, and WordPress, and I’ve built my business around one idea: your website should keep pace with your expertise without becoming another job on your plate.

Most of my system clients started with a Website Rejuvenation Day or Website in a Week and stayed because the ongoing structure made sense. But you don’t need to have worked with me before to enroll. The Website Alignment Call is where we figure out fit.

“One of the best business decisions I’ve made is adding Liz and her services! She takes my written content and provides creative, clean, on-brand design to convey my message. I completely trust her to give me feedback, elevate my words and visuals, all while completing tasks in a timely, efficient manner. She’s also fun and supportive to boot!”

Frequently Asked Questions

You’ll receive an invoice when you enroll. Onboarding runs through the remainder of that month, and execution begins on the 1st of the following month. Billing runs automatically on the first of each month after that.

Yes. Three months gives enough time to establish a rhythm, clear any backlog, and see how the system works for your site. After three months, you continue month-to-month with 10 days’ notice to cancel.

Some months are lighter than others, and that’s normal. The 45 minutes is a ceiling, not a quota. In lighter months, it’s a good time to publish a blog post you’ve been sitting on, update a page that’s drifted, or schedule content across your platforms. The value of the system is that someone is consistently paying attention to your site, even when you’re focused on everything else.

Additional time is available at the active client hourly rate, billed in 15-minute increments. Occasional overage is normal. If it becomes a pattern, we’ll talk about whether a different structure makes more sense at your next quarterly review.

Yes, both need to be in place before monthly execution begins. If either isn’t set up yet, I’ll share my recommended solutions during onboarding. Getting them in place is usually straightforward.

No. The system is available whether or not I built your site. If you’re coming in new, the free Website Alignment Call is where we figure out fit. If your site needs a full diagnostic first, a Website Wellness Review is a good starting point.

The system is available for Showit, Squarespace, Systeme, Wix, and WordPress. WordPress clients on the base plan provide Editor access; full technical oversight (hosting, backups, security, updates) is available through the WordPress Admin Support add-on.

A Website That Runs Like the Rest of Your Business

The Strategic Content & Website System keeps your site aligned with where your business is right now. Updates happen. Content gets published. And you stop carrying “fix the website” on every quarterly to-do list.

The Website Alignment Call is 20 minutes, free, and the easiest way to find out if the system fits where you are right now.

Execution for new clients begins on the first of the following month after enrollment.
